FOCUS Marine Joshua Ploetz made an amazing trek down the mighty Mississippi river in 2014. He started at the headwaters in northern Minnesota and traveled alone in a one-man canoe all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico. The 2400 mile trip which was launched as “Paddle Off The War” took nearly three months. Along the way Josh accomplished his goal of drawing attention to PTSD and how it affects our returning combat vets. He was interviewed in various media outlets as his trip was chronicled during the summer of 2014.
